H2GE Rostock project

Together with the Norwegian energy company Equinor, the import, production and distribution of blue hydrogen and ammonia are to be investigated. 

The H2GE Rostock project will evaluate options for the production of low-CO2 hydrogen in Rostock. In addition to the planning, construction and operation of a hydrogen production plant, technologies for the capture and use of CO2 on an industrial scale are to be used. The joint efforts form the basis for a hydrogen and CO2 hub in the Rostock area and thus for local and regional value creation in eastern Germany.
