Under the theme 'Security in Uncertain Times', the 15th East German Energy Forum will take place on September 30 and October 1, 2026, at the Jahnallee Campus of the University of Leipzig. This leading conference on the future of energy in Eastern Germany will bring together over 500 representatives from politics, the energy sector, industry, academia and local authorities to discuss the key challenges of the energy transition, security of supply and competitiveness.
The focus will be on current issues relating to resilient energy systems, the expansion of renewable energies, the development of efficient infrastructure, and the role of Eastern Germany as a key hub in the European energy system.
Stephan Haupt, Managing Director of VNG Handel & Vertrieb GmbH, will take part as a panellist on September 30, 2026, in the panel discussion 'Energy Supply – Resilience through Decentralisation?'.
